A historic estate with its own park, courtyard and restaurant — an hour from Milan, fifteen minutes from the lake.

  • 24 boutique hotel rooms

    Family and friends sleep on the estate — no transfers, no taxis at midnight, nobody driving home.

  • Exclusive use, total privacy

    All 24 rooms are yours for the two nights, so nobody else checks in — and for your event we close the estate and the restaurant to everyone else.

  • A 15th-century cascina

    Built closed on four sides, the way Lombard farmsteads were — which is exactly what makes the courtyard so private today.

  • A park, a pool, a sauna

    Old trees and lawns for the ceremony, aperitivo under the sunset, and a swimming pool and Finnish sauna for the days around it.

  • The food is ours to handle

    Cooked in our restaurant Arabella, or by a caterer we bring in ourselves. Italian by heart, but whatever your guests need — you do not have to organise a thing.

  • Fifteen minutes from the lake

    Deep in the Como countryside, on the edge of Brianza — but close to the motorway and an easy run from Milan's airports.

The days

How the days here unfold

  1. Arrival and welcome

    Guests arrive through the afternoon and settle in. A welcome by the pool in the park, aperitivo as the sun goes down, and — if you want it — a first dinner together under the portico at long tables, so everyone has already met before the wedding day begins. A welcome dinner here is an event in its own right; some couples take their guests out instead.

  2. The wedding day

    A slow morning in the park. The couple get ready with friends around them, and the ceremony takes place wherever you prefer: in the park, under the monumental sequoia, or in the walled courtyard. Aperitivo follows in the park, then one long imperial table in the courtyard for dinner. After that, an open bar if you want one, and dancing in the courtyard late into the night with no closing time.

  3. The morning after

    Nobody rushes off. Breakfast in the historic barn, or a long brunch in the garden if you would rather say goodbye slowly. Guests who stay on have the pool, the sauna and the park to themselves.

The rooms

Where your guests sleep

The 24 rooms and suites are spread between the Villa and the Corte, a few steps from the courtyard where you will have dinner and dance.

Rooms are booked separately from the estate itself — either added to your package, or booked and paid for by each guest through a private link we set up. Either way nobody has to find a hotel elsewhere, drive back at night or move between places.

The place

The estate

Dandelion is a historic country residence turned boutique hotel, a few kilometres from Como. It is made of two buildings: the Villa, which looks out over the park, and the Corte, gathered around a restored Lombard courtyard.

Between them run covered porticoes that let a party carry on whatever the sky is doing. There is a swimming pool in the park, a Finnish sauna, and our own restaurant, Arabella, cooking with producers from this corner of Lombardy.

How many guests

Outdoors, in good weather, there is no limit — the park and the courtyard take as many people as you want to invite.

If it rains

The covered porticoes and the indoor rooms seat 120. For a larger party we can arrange a marquee in the park, quoted separately — worth deciding early if your guest list goes beyond 120.

What it costs

  • All 24 rooms — booked for two nights.

    This is the basis of every wedding weekend here: the whole hotel is yours for the two nights. Rooms are paid separately, either included in your package or booked and paid for by each guest through a private link we set up for your wedding.

  • Exclusive use — €5,000 for the first event.

    At least one event on the estate is part of every wedding weekend here: a welcome party on the Friday or the wedding reception on the Saturday. For it we close the restaurant and the estate to everyone else. A second event is optional, at €4,000. Setting up the spaces is quoted on top, based on what you have in mind.

  • Catering — from €150 per guest for the wedding reception.

    For a welcome dinner we have several proposals, from €50 per guest — a pizza party, a traditional Italian pasta dinner, or a vegetarian dinner. Cooked by us, from our own kitchen or a caterer we bring in.

  • Not included.

    Flowers, music, photography and wedding planning.

Her photographs are the most honest description of this place we can give you: the light in the courtyard, the long table, friends who never had to look at the time.

Practical

Getting here

We are in Villa Guardia, a few kilometres from Como and close to the Swiss border. The motorway, the railway stations and the international airports are all easy to reach, so guests coming from abroad can get here without a long transfer.

Free parking on site, electric car charging, and pets are welcome.

Good to know

Can we have the whole place to ourselves?

Yes. For any event held here the villa, the courtyard, the park and the pool are closed to everyone else, with no other guests on the estate. The 24 rooms are booked for the two nights and paid separately, either through your package or directly by your guests.

Can guests sleep on site?

Yes. There are 24 rooms and suites between the Villa and the Corte. You can include them in your package, or we set up a private booking link so each guest reserves and pays for their own room. Either way everyone sleeps where the party is.

Is the catering yours?

Yes, and you never have to arrange it yourself. Depending on the menu we either cook in house at our own restaurant, Arabella, or bring in a caterer we work with and trust. Our own kitchen is Italian, built around the season and around producers from this corner of Lombardy — but if your guests need something else, whether that is a fully vegetarian menu, a particular cuisine from home, or specific dietary or religious requirements, we arrange it. Tell us what you have in mind and we take care of the rest.

Can we get married legally here?

Yes. Civil ceremonies can be celebrated on the estate by arrangement with the local municipality. Otherwise, many couples choose a symbolic ceremony here after the legal formalities elsewhere.

Is there a minimum number of nights?

Yes. A wedding weekend here is built on a two-night buyout of all 24 rooms, together with at least one event on the estate — a welcome party or the wedding reception — held in exclusive use, with the restaurant closed to everyone else. A second event is optional.

What is the starting price range?

The two-night buyout of the 24 rooms is the basis, charged separately — either in your package or booked directly by your guests. Exclusive use of the estate is €5,000 for the first event, which every wedding weekend includes, and €4,000 for an optional second one, with the set-up quoted on top, and catering starts at €150 per guest for the wedding reception, or from €50 per guest for a welcome dinner. The final figure depends on the season, the number of guests and the menu, and we always quote it in writing before you commit to anything.

Do you work with a wedding planner?

We recommend working with a wedding planner for the day itself, and we can introduce you to planners who already know the estate well.
